Procedure to Download BHU RET Exam Admit Card:

Those who are willing to download BHU RET Call letter are advised to follow the instructions given below:

  • First and the foremost step is that candidates need to visit the official website of the Banaras Hindu University which is
  • Press “RET Admit Card” located at the middle of the home page and press ‘ADMIT CARD FOR RET’ link.
  • Fill the asked and correct details like registration Number or Email ID in the given columns as given in below image:

  • After filling the asked details, select ‘Search’ button and within few seconds, candidates will get their Banaras Hindu University Admit Card on their system screen.
  • At last, download BHU Research Entrance Test Admit Card and take printout of it for future examination purpose.

Research Entrance Test Pattern:

There are three parts of Research Entrance Test that is:

Test ATest BTest C
  • It focuses on analytical and logical capability of candidate. It is Objective Type basis.
  • It has a total of 60 MCQ’s of 180 marks with 1 hr duration. There will be negative marking.
  • Candidate will get 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 marks will get deducted from total marks for each wrong answer.
  • It mainly focuses on subject knowledge.
  • This test will be conducted with the conjunction with Test A. duration for Test B will be 2 hrs with 200 total marks.
  • There will be 40 MCQ’s each carrying 3 marks and 10 Short Answer Questions from which you have to answer any five each carrying 16 marks. It also follows Negative Marking scheme.
  • It focuses on research proposal and personal interview.
  • Candidates who successfully qualify Test A and Test B then will have to appear for Test C. it will be conducted in the concerned department selected by the board.
  • It will carry 100 marks, 30 marks for writing one page research proposal and rest of 70 marks for personal interview.

  • Integrated M.Phil.-Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Sustainable Development through Research Entrance Test (RET) 2017 and Direct Admission (RET-Exempted)
