Bihar Polytechnic Counselling

The DCECE 2020 examination for admissions to polytechnic and diploma in engineering colleges in Bihar was conducted on November 26 and 27 2021 amid strict COVID-19 precautions.

Bihar Polytechnic Counselling Fees:

• Applicants will be required to report at reporting centres along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 25000/-.
• If candidates are not satisfied with allotted seats, they can withdraw within scheduled time as per AICTE norms.
• After the scheduled time, candidates will not be refunded fees.

Bihar Polytechnic Seat Allotment:

• Seats will be allocated to the participants according to Merit List.
• The admission authority of examination will announce the first round of seat allotment in an online mode tentatively in last week of July.

Bihar Polytechnic Counselling Letter:

• Candidates will have to login and download the letter in PDF format and get at least 2 printouts of the same.
• Applicants can download allotment letter from official website.

Bihar Polytechnic Counselling Process 2021:

Step 1 – Registration for Bihar Polytechnic DCECE Counselling:

• Applicants will have to register first in order to participate in process.
• Candidates will have to create a unique password which must of 8-13 characters with one special character, one number, one upper case and one lower case letter.
• After the Bihar Polytechnic Counselling Registration, candidates will have to provide Address of communication, Mobile number and Security Question

Step 2 – Choice Filling:

• After successful registration, candidates will have to hit on “Fill choice” button.
• Candidates must read the instructions before proceeding with the next step “Choice Filling”.
• This will comprise of two blocks: left block and right block.
• Left block will comprise of list of all colleges and branches in arranged according to alphabetical order.
• Whereas, right block will comprise of choices filled by the candidate.
• Candidates will have to enter their choice of college and branch according to preference.
• Applicants must fill their choices for Bihar Polytechnic Counselling within scheduled date and time after which candidates not registered will not be entertained.

Step 3 – Choice Locking By OTP:

• Candidates are advised to carefully check the choices entered before choice locking.
• If satisfied, candidates must hit on “Lock Choices” button for which password will be required for Bihar Polytechnic Counselling.
• If any changes are to be made in choices entered, candidates will have to select “Unlock Choices” and make possible changes.
• After all possible changes are made; candidates must hit on “Print Locked Choice” button to get a printout of filled choices for future reference

Step 4 – First Round Seat Allotment:

• The admission authority of examination will announce the first round of seat allotment in an online mode tentatively in last week of July for Bihar Polytechnic Counselling.
• Candidates will have to login and download the seat allotment letter in PDF format and get at least 2 printouts of the same.
• Candidates must then report to reporting centres within scheduled time. If candidates fail to report within scheduled time, their candidature will be cancelled.
• Candidates will not be entertained under any circumstances if they miss to report at reporting Bihar DCECE Polytechnic Counselling centres.

Step 5 – Admission Fee Payment:

• Candidates will be required to report at reporting centres along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 25000/-.
• If candidates are not satisfied with allotted seats, they can withdraw within scheduled time as per AICTE norms.

Step 6 – Document Verification At Reporting Centre:

Candidates allotted seats will have to report to their allotted institute or college for document verification process. Candidates will be required to bring along all original documents along with a set of photocopies to get a seat in preferred college.

Step 7 – Second Round Seat Allotment:

• Candidates will have to register again to participate in second round of seat allotment whose name did not appear in first round seat allotment.
• Candidates of following types of categories will be eligible for seat allotment or upgradation such as Type – I, Type – II and Type – III.

Step 8 – Third Round Seat Allotment:

No fresh registrations will be applicable for this round of seat allotment. Candidates falling under following type of categories will be eligible for seat allotment or upgradation under this round of seat allotment: Type – I, Type – II and Type – III.
