Scientist B: 28
Discipline wise BIS Vacancy:
- Civil Engineering – 13
- Instrumentation Engineering – 02
- Environmental Engineering – 02
- Chemistry – 07
- Textile Engineering – 04
Educational qualification:
Candidates must have attained Degree in relevant field from recognized board or university.
For Engineering Categories:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or equivalent with not less than 60%marks in aggregate [50% for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes].
- Having valid GATE score of 2019/ 2020/ 2021. The GATE score must be valid as on 25-06-2021.
For Chemistry Categories:
(1) Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences or equivalent [in Chemistry discipline only] with not less than 60% marks in aggregate [50% for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes].
(2) Having valid GATE score of 2019/ 2020/ 2021. The GATE score must be valid as on 25-06-2021.

Age limit:
For BIS jobs, the upper age limit should not be above 30 years and must not be less than 21 years in order to get hired through Bureau of Indian Standards recruitment process.
Salary structure:
Shortlisted candidates will be Gross Emoluments ₹ 87,525/- if he/she gets placed as Scientist in Bureau of Indian Standards.

- Short-listing based on GATE 2019, GATE 2020 & GATE 2021 Score.
