  • Common Admission Test is the computer based test going to be held in 156 test centers.
  • There are 3 sections in this exam namely Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude.
  • CAT question paper will contain both MCQ as well as non-MCQ type questions.
  • Candidates will get 180 minutes (3 hours); 60 minutes to complete the exam for each section.

CAT Marking Scheme

As above mentioned, there is negative marking in an exam as for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted and for every correct answer 3 marks will be provided. Whether MCQ type or Non-MCQ type questions, marking scheme is same, but for Non-MCQ type questions there is no penalty for any wrong answer as there is no negative marking.
