What is CAT? Want to know about CAT?

CAT is commonly known as Common Admission Test and it is a computer based test which is held in India. Candidates will be selected on the basis of bases of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR). Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) conducts this exam every year to select eligible and capable contenders. It was decided that Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) would also use the CAT scores in Aug. 2011. There are 3 sections to qualify the test which are as follows.,

  • Quantitative Ability (QA)
  • Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC), and
  • Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR)
