CBSE Merit Scholarship
Central Board of Secondary Education invites application from eligible students who have passed Class X Exam 2018 from CBSE affiliated Schools for CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme. All single girl children, who have secured 60% or more marks, can apply for CBSE Merit Scholarship 2018 till 05th October 2018.
The objective of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme is to provide scholarships to the meritorious single girl students, who are only child of their parents. Willing single girl children can submit the CBSE Merit Scholarship Online Form till 05-10-2018.
Submit Hard Copy of Application for CBSE 2018 Merit Scholarship till 31st Oct!!!
The hard copy of application (CBSE Merit Scholarship Renewal Application Form only) has to be submitted on or before the last date that is 31-10-2018. Hard copies received after the last date shall not be entertained.

What is the main Objective?
- Main aim of CBSE merit scholarship scheme is to grant scholarships to the meritorious Single Girl Students, who are the only child of their parents;
- The scholarship will be provided to those girls who have passed the CBSE Class X Examination with 60% / 6.2 CGPA or more marks/ grades and are continuing their further school education of Class XI and XII.
- The objective of this scheme is to know the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students.

Match your eligibility criteria:
- Single Girl students who have secured 60% / 6.2 CGPA or more marks / grades in Class X exam and want to pursue their studying of Class XI & XII in CBSE School.
- The tuition fee of student should not more than Rs. 1500/- per month.
- The scholarship will be provided to Indian Nationals only.
- Students must keep on her educational studies in Class XI and XII from CBSE.
- Candidates passed CBSE Class X Examination in the academic year 2016 are eligible for this scholarship.
- In the next 02 years the total enhancement of tuition fee shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee.
Allocation of Scholarship:
The number of CBSE Single Girl Child scholarship for a particular year shall be variable and will be awarded to all Single Girl Students who have secured 60% or more marks in the CBSE Class X Examination in that year.

Rate of Scholarships and mode of payment:
- Scholarship will be provided to selected candidates up to Rs. 500/- per month.
- A Scholarship will be paid for a maximum phase of two years.
- Payment will be made through ECS/NEFT against Central Board of Secondary Education Merit Scholarship.

Mode of Hiring:
- Applying candidates must have qualified in Class X Examination from the CBSE and secured 6.2 CGPA or more.
- Candidates who are pursuing their further studies that are Class XI & XII from CBSE affiliated Schools will be selected.
- Student should be ONLY SINGLE GIRL CHILD of their parents.

Applicants will be selected on basis of Class X Examination and secured 60% or more marks for CBSE Merit Scholarship for Single Girl Child. Pursuing Class XI & XII from CBSE affiliated Schools can apply for Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child.
Steps to apply for CBSE Merit Scholarship 2017:
Students who want to avail Central Board of Secondary Education Single Girl Child scholarship can follow the below stated steps:
- First and foremost step of candidate is to visit the official website of the organization that is cbse.nic.in
- On home page of official website go to “Recent Announcements” section and hit “Press Note: Single Girl child Scholarship”.
- Now on reaching new page hit on Guidelines and Application Forms/Apply Online” link
- After that a new page will get opened on your screen, you just have to fill the required details by tapping to SGC-X – Fresh Application” link
- Now hit Upload Documents” link and upload scanned copy of relevant documents along with your recent passport size photograph and signatures
- After that hit print “Confirmation Page” option and generate the confirmation page
- The duly filled in proforma be sent in an envelope super scribing “APPLICATION FOR MERIT SCHOLARSHIP FOR SGC X F – 2 (RENEWAL)” should be sent to the below provided address.

Documents to be sent with the Application:
- Attested copy of Mark sheet of Class X 2016 issued by CBSE.
- An affidavit (in Hindi or English Language only) from the parent that the candidate is the only child of her parents as per prescribed language (see format) on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- duly sworn in before First class Judicial.
- Magistrate/SDM/Executive Magistrate/Notary should be submitted along with the application.
- Photocopy of affidavit will not be accepted.
- Aadhaar number must be linked with your Bank Account. (copy enclosed)
- A Photostat copy of bank pass book duly attested.
