11th CTET Exam to be held this time:
This is the 11th time Central Board of Secondary Education going to conduct CTET Examination. Main motive behind conducting this examination to appoint eligible candidates for the post of Teachers for classes I to VIII. According to the Guidelines framed by the NCTE clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act, to be appointed as a teacher it is mandatory for candidate to qualify TET.

Eligibility required filling up CTET Application Form 2018:
To complete the CTET Application Form candidates need to fulfill the following requirements:
Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |
OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. |
OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). |
OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). |
OR |
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |
Minimum Educational Qualification for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):
Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |
OR |
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). |
OR |
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. |
OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). |
OR |
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. |
OR |
Graduation with at least 50%marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education). |

CTET Application Fees:
To fill up CTET Application Form, amount of application fees to be paid is:
Category | Only Paper–I or II | For Both Papers I and II |
General/ OBC | Rs.600/- | Rs.1,000/- |
SC/ST/Diff. Abled Person | Rs.300/- | Rs.500/- |
Amount of CTET Application Form fees can be paid by using Credit card/Debit card or Through Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or HDFC Bank in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi.

CTET Exam pattern:
- There will be 02 papers for CTET
- Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
- Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
- A person who intents to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
CTET Paper 1 Pattern 2018:
- This paper consists of 150 Questions based on the Multiple Choice Type Questionsand the total marks of this paper are 150.
- Questions are asked from the different subjects, these subjects are given below. You have to complete this exam within 2.30 hrs.

This paper contains 150 Multiple Choice Questions of 150 marks. Questions are given from CDP or Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science. Time: 2.30 hrs.

Qualifying marks for CTET:
The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

How to Fill CTET Application Form?
To complete the CTET Application Form 2018 candidates need to follow the instructions given in below section of this page:

- Select and hit on CTET 2018 Link available at homepage
- From the next page appeared read all the details and hit on proceed to apply online to fill up CTET Online Registration form
- A new page will come out along with the CTET Online Application Form
- Fill up all the details in CTET Application Form including personal and education details
- Once all the details filled in CTET Application Form 2018 are completed go towards the next step
- Next step is uploading of documents
- Upload all the testimonials according to the size prescribed
- Now pay the requisite amount of application fees by using appropriate mode
- Once all the details are completed hit on final submission tab
