Difference between MBA and PGDM
PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma in Management. The Institutes that are not affiliated to any particular University cannot offer a degree. Therefore, they provide a certificate i.e. Diploma Certificate.
It is an IIM based diploma program approved by the AICTE. AICTE conducts both technical and management courses. The duration of PGDM spread over 2 years containing usually 4 semesters and sometimes 6 trimesters. PGDM is an advance course. So, it syllabus alters in every 4-5 years.

MBA expands Masters in Business Administration. Colleges that are affiliated to any University can offer degree of MBA. It can either Indian University or any Foreign University. A syllabus change in an MBA program is rarely seen since the colleges that are offering the program has no authority to change the syllabus.
