Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be conducted in 23 subjects. Aspirants can note down the paper code before submitting the application form. GATE Exam Pattern
GATE examination will be conducted for 23 subjects. In the examination there will be total 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be on General Aptitude (GA). There will be multiple choice questions and Numerical Answer Questions.

Marking Scheme for GATE Examination
- For 1-mark multiple-choice questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- Likewise, for 2-mark multiple-choice questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- There is NO negative marking for numerical answer type questions.
