Steps to download GATE Admit Card:
Participants can follow up below mention steeps to download GATE Hall Ticket:
- Visit official website of the organization that is www.gate.iitr.ernet.in.
- On the home page, move to “Candidate login for downloading admit card” section and choose “appsgate.iitr.ac.in” link for downloading the call letter.
- This will open a login page on your computer screen.
- Enter your asked details such as “Enrollment ID/Email Address”, Password and GOAPS password and Captcha” and hit “Submit” button.
- In the new page, your GATE Admit Card will get downloaded on your computer screen.
- Check all the details and take a print out of it.
- Keep it safely for further use.

GATE Admit Card
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a primarily tests which is conducted by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology every year before giving admission to the candidates in various undergraduate subjects such as Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture and post- Graduate level subjects in Science.
This year Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee is going to conduct the examination. What’s new in GATE 2017?
Some of the additional test centers that are being included this year are such as Burdwan (IIT Guwahati Zone), Dibrugarh (IIT Guwahati Zone) and Gorakhpur (IIT Kanpur Zone) have been added as new GATE Centers.
One new change that has taken place this time is that, XE paper now has a new section on Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (section H). With this the number of sections in the XE paper has increased to eight (A-H).
Now, GATE 2017 examination shall be held for international candidates in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be conducted in 23 subjects. Aspirants can note down the paper code before submitting the application form. Once the subject is chosen, then it will not be changed. Candidates can give only one Gate paper of the 23 papers for which GATE 2017 examination is being held. GATE Exam Pattern
GATE examination will be conducted for 23 subjects. In the examination there will be total 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks will be on General Aptitude (GA). There will be multiple choice questions and Numerical Answer Questions.

GATE Exam Sections:
Section of General Aptitude is compulsory for all papers and it will be of 15 marks.
For Papers with codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PI, TF and XE:
Engineering Mathematics will carry around 15% of the total marks, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 70% of the total marks is devoted to the subject of the paper.
For Papers with codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL:
General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 85% of the total marks is devoted to the subject of the paper.

Marking Scheme for GATE Examination
- For 1-mark Multiple-Choice Questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- Likewise, for 2-mark multiple-choice questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.
- There is NO negative marking for numerical answer type questions.
