IAS Prelims Exam PAPER I Preparation

Paper I will check your general studies. It includes 100 questions to be answered in 2 hours. IAS Prelims Paper 1 is for 200 marks where each question contains 2 marks i.e. overall. Syllabus for Paper I is given below, you just need to go through the Tips to Crack CSE Pre Exam:

How to prepare for Paper I

This exam includes 100 questions which keep capability of taking a candidate to the main examination if prepared very well. These questions need a perfect and detailed knowledge of the subjects and topics which should be above high school level. Speed and presence of mind is the main thing needed in this examination. The maximum ratio of question is from politics of India. From last many years it is found that politics is the most scoring section. Its preparation should be started from your interests and not necessarily according to content in the syllabus. For example: One can study about the rights and duties before the process of Indian constitution.

Questions in this section can be fixed or can be dynamic in nature which can relate to current or future events. Such current events should be continuously followed and should be studied further in reference books.

IAS Prelims 2018 Paper II will check you on aptitude. It consists of 80 questions. It contains 200 overall marks and time period to complete this aptitude test is 2 hours. It includes some of the following topics:
