Candidates are invited for IISER Admission to 5 year BS-MS Degree Programme 2017-18 in Autonomous Institutions under MHRD, Govt. of India. Interested contenders can be admitted to IISER only through these three channels as Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), Joint Entrance Examination of Indian Institutes of Technology (JEE) and State and Central Boards Channel (SCB) channel till the last date. Willing candidates have to submit their IISER Application Form till the last date and after that go for entrance examination through the selected channel. The 50% seats (General/SC/ST/OBC Non-creamy) of IISERs will be filled through KVPY and JEE Advanced 2017. The remaining seats will be filled through State and Central Boards that is based on IISER Aptitude Test 2017.

IISER Admission 2017 Eligibility Criteria:

KVPY Channel

Aspirants who have valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2017-18 academic session are eligible to apply for admissions.

JEE Channel

  • Candidates in General categories securing a rank within 10000 in the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE Advanced 2017 are eligible to apply.
  • For candidates belonging to reserved category (OBCNC, SC, ST, PD), their category rank would be used.

SCB Channel

  • Students who have passed (10+2) level with science stream in 2016 or 2017 with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in their respective boards as given in the table below are eligible to apply.
  • For the candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer of the Other Backward Classes (OBCNC) and Persons with Disability (PD) categories, there is a 5% relaxation.
  • The cut-off percentage for the Scheduled Castes (SC), the Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Kashmiri Migrants (KM) candidates is 55% in (10+2) level for all boards.
  • Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test which will be conducted at various centers across the country.
  • To calculate your percentage of marks obtained use your board’s method.

How To Pay Fees Online Through Credit/Debit Card

IISER 2017 Exam Pattern:

  • The IISER Aptitude Test 2017 will be based on the PCBM.
  • It will be a Multiple Choice Question Paper.
  • This will be an offline pen & paper based test.
  • There will be 15 questions asked from each subjects.
  • The question paper will be of 180 marks.
  • The time duration of the paper will be three hours (10.00 AM to 1.00 PM).
  • For each correct answer 3 marks will be awarded to the candidates.
  • 1 mark will be deducted for incorrect answer as negative marking.
