JEE Main 2018 Registration Fee:

JEE Main 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Academic Qualification:

Applied candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam with five subjects from any recognized board. Students appearing in the 12th examination in 2018 are also eligible for the Joint Entrance Examination. Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects are mandatory in the qualifying exam. There is no minimum marks are needed to appear in the JEE Main exam. For admission in IITs, NITs, CFTIs, students must have secured 75 % marks (65% for SC/ST) or be in the top 20 percentile.

Age Limitation:

Students born on or after 1st October 1993 can apply for the Joint Entrance Examination 2017.   Five year relaxation is given for reserved categories as per the rules.

JEE Main Selection Procedure:

Applicants applied for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) will be selected on the basis of their marks obtained in entrance examination. After the successfully completion of the entrance examination, merit list will be prepared and shortlisted contenders will participate in Counselling.

JEE Main Exam Pattern 2018:

Candidates, applying for Mains examination must have accurate knowledge of the JEE Main exam pattern. As a consequence of the exam pattern and JEE Main Syllabus, exam is conducted in two parts i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2, which is provided in descriptive manner here.

  • Exam will be asked in form of Multiple Choice Questions.
  • Questions will be asked from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
  • The language mode of the question paper will be Hindi & English.
  • Candidates will be provided three hours (Four hours for candidates having 40% or more disability).
  • Candidates will get 4 marks for one correct response.
  • 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

JEE Mains Exam Pattern of Paper 2

  • Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing are the topics from which questions will be asked.
  • This examination will be conducted on Offline mode.
  • Three hours (Four hours for candidates having 40% or more disability) will be provided to the candidates as time duration.
  • As a consequence of marking scheme, 4 marks for one correct response, 2 descriptive questions will be for 70 marks.
  • 1 mark for each incorrect response will be deducted.
