The current President of India is Ram Nath Kovind. He is an Indian politician currently serving as the 14th President of India, in office since 25 July 2017 and was born 1 October 1945. Formerly he had served as the Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017. He was also a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2006.

The president of India is also called as Rashtrapati in Hindi. Ram Nath Kovind won the presidential election after engaging more than two-thirds of total Electoral College votes. India will be confirmed in as the 14th President of India is Ram Nath Kovind on 25th July 2017. Ram Nath Kovind was the leader of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Ram Nath Kovind for winning the presidential election.

Date of Birth of Ram Nath Kovind is 01-10-1945. In 2017, Ram Nath Kovind was selected as the President of India and he is only other Dalit leader to be elected for the post. From 2015 onwards till 2017, Ram Nath Kovind fulfills the responsibility of 35th Governor of Bihar and was a Rajya Sabha member from 1994 to 2006.

Rajendra Prasad

Prasad was the first President of independent India, from Bihar and also the longest-serving President, for 12 years. He had participated actively in India’s freedom movement. He was also the only president to have been selected twice for the office.

Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

Radhakrishnan was a great philosopher and writer and also held the position of vice chancellor of the Andhra University and Banaras Hindu University. He was a very prominent scholar and academician. Radhakrishnan was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1954 before becoming the President. He was the first President from South India.

Zakir Husain

Hussain was vice chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University and a recipient of Padma Vibhushan and Bharat Ratna. He died in office, the first to do so. He was also the shortest-serving President. He was also the first Muslim President.

Varahagiri Venkata Giri

He was elected Vice President of India in 1967. He was a great orator and a prolific writer and was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1975. Following the death of President Zakir Hussain, Giri was appointed as Acting President of India. He was a prominent Congress leader.

Giani Zail Singh

Ramaswamy Venkataraman

Shankar Dayal Sharma

Dayal Sharma was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, and the Indian Minister for Communications. Dayal Sharma was the 9th President of the Indian Republic and served his tenure from 1992 to 1997. He has also served as the governor of Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Maharashtra.

Kocheril Raman Narayanan

A.P. J. Abdul Kalam

Bharat Ratna Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, normally known as Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. He was the 11th President of India. Kalam was the visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. Kalam was a scientist who played a leading role in the development of India’s ballistic missile and nuclear weapons programs.

Pratibha Patil

Patil was the first woman to become the President of India. She was also the first female Governor of Rajasthan.
