Jan Lokpal Bill also called as, Citizen’s Ombudsman Bill and this is an anti-corruption bill formed and drafted by Indian civil society activists looking the appointment of a Jan Lokpal, which is a self-reliant body for the investigation of corruption cases.
Dr. Abhishek Manu Singhvi, the son of the founder of Word “Lokpal” late Mr. L.M. Singhvi and head of the Parliament, was analyzing the bill but soon he resigned from the post after a Sex Tape Controversy.
As Rajya Sabha gave the green chit to the Jan Lokpal Bill on 17th December, Lok Sabha also opened its arms and shown the green signal to the Bill on the next day 18th December 2013. The bill was waiting from 40 years to be passed by the Indian Government and on this day the wait got its end.
Anna Hazare thanked to the members of Rajya Sabha for passing the Jan Lokpal Bill and said that he will end his fast after the bill is also passed in Lok Sabha. When the bill got passed in Lok Sabha, it was a memorable day for Anna Hazare and the Indians too.
