National Institute of Open Schooling has invites NIOS Admission Form for those candidates who want to get admission to Secondary (10th) & Sr. Secondary Levels (12th). Interested candidates who fulfill all eligibility as stated below are required to fill the online registration form and submit it on or before the end date that is 31st January, 2017. This stream for online Admission is open to new Learners for Oct 2017 Examination as per norms and will be eligible to appear in Public Examination first time in Oct. 2017.

For Secondary Course Certificate of Class VIII passed, or Self Certificate (as mentioned at The back of Admission Form) attested by a Gazetted Officer
For Senior Secondary Course Copy of the Certificate of the Secondary Examination passed from a recognized Board of Secondary Education duly attested by a Gazetted Officer

Limitation of Age:

  • For Secondary Course: Age of candidates should be 14 years as on 31st July, 2016 (Born on or before 31.07.2001)
  • For Senior Secondary Course: Age of candidates should be 15 years as on 31st July 2016 (born on or before 31/01/2002)

Mode of Payment:

Aspirants are required to pay the application fee through On-line mode by using credit card, master, visa, debit card or you can submit the fee through offline mode through Bank Draft of any Nationalized Bank of India only in favor of Secretary, NIOS payable at respective Regional Centre.

Process to apply for NIOS Admission:

  • Candidates are required to apply online by visiting official site of organization that is www.nios.ac.in
  • Then visit to the “Online Admission” option given at the left side of the homepage.
  • Select “Stream-1: press here to Register under this Stream” link.
  • Now, follow suitable link.
  • If you are new user Press “Register now” option.
  • Fill Online application form with all the details and note down email and password.
  • Then, login again and fill application form with all relevant information.
  • Upload scanned passport size photograph and signature (if required).
  • Take printout of filled in application form for future reference.
  • At last, send application form along with demand draft to the below mentioned address.

Documents Required for Submission of Print out of Online Application Form:

  • Attested copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Muncipal authority or District Office of the Registrar of Birth and Deaths for all born on or after 26.01.1989 or
  • Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificates showing applicant’s date of birth, issued by the last school attended by the applicant. In case of Govt. Schools the transfer certificate/school leaving certificate should be signed by the Principal while in the case of Private schools it should also be countersigned by the competent education authority of State/or District Education Officer.
  • Certificate for SC/ST (in case of SC/ST),
  • Photocopy of Marksheet of Class X Board Examination (in case of Sr. Sec.),
  • Certificate from the Employer for Ex-Servicemen,
  • Certificate from a Government Hospital for a handicapped person
  • Original failure/compartment Marksheet of
  • class X or XII for TOC
  • Transfer Certificate from the last school attended or Self Certificate regarding educational qualifications (in case of Secondary)
