Reservation in Promotion: Promotion is a process to get the next level in the organization being promote by own work. In the present time the caste still matters for many people not the work of the person. Mainly SC/ST (Reserved) categories candidates have to face many problems not only in getting the job but in promotion also in all kind of organization everywhere in India. While we have been free from British but not free form the caste system. In the same way preference is given only to high caste people for new job and promotion.
Reservation in Promotion means that the few seats will be reserved for SC/ST employees for the superior positions in all public sector departments among all seats. Because upper caste people thought that they are the only superior any eligible person for all officer level jobs especially for administrative department and lower caste people are for their junior posts or in their bottom.
Reservation will also give the right to these people who are suffering from caste system and equality will spread all around.
Few days ago it was said by former CM of U.P. Ms. Mayawati that there should be reservation for SC/STs in promotion to higher posts in government departments. To pass this bill in the parliament is really very tough for the government because former CM of U.P Mulayam Singh Yadav also wants reservation for OBC category which is not possible because of few reasons. Mostly OBC candidates are zameendar from past time and still are in very good position. That is why this gone in the cushions of eagle.
Supreme court said to Mayawati that this decision needs just seventy-five percent support of the member of the parliament to become the law. This support could not get by the Mayawati and matter is still in the claws of bird which will not step down so early.
Nagraj Committee finding the real situation of SC/ST in India after that when this committee will present his report then any decision will be issue from the Supreme court to Allahabad High Court to support this matter that is Reservation in Promotion.
