Hello Job seekers, I am Vikas Kumar and I am sharing my IBPS Clerk Interview Experience with you. I am very happy to share my SBI clerical interview experience, because it is amazing interview for me and I have acquired lot of information from this interview.

Vikas Kumar SBI Clerk Interview Experience

Name:  Vikas Kumar

Venue: SBI Zonal Business Office, Ludhiana

Profession: B.Tech (ECE)

Time: 12:00 PM, Panel-1

I reached at the venue around 11:30 AM. They allow us to in at sharp 12:00 PM however at that point morning shift interview were happening. They finished at around 2:00 PM then the panel went for his or her lunch. They came back at 2:35 then our document verification started.

They were terribly strict in verifying the documents (3-4 Candidates were placed on hold as their signatures weren’t matching, in a while they were allowed taking and verifying their application forms and different documents). My documents got verified at around 4:00 PM and that I was sixteenth within the queue.

Please carry following documents with you:

  • Completely filled Bio-Data form along with 4 copies of it
  • 10th Marksheet & Certificate
  • 12th Marksheet & Certificate
  • Graduation Marksheets & Certificate
  • Caste Certificate if applicable
  • 2 Character Certificates (One by school/college & One by any gazetted officer)
  • One Identity proof (Voter ID, DL, PAN Card or Aadhar Card)
  • Any additional documents if you want to attach (Residence Certificate, Previous Job Experience certificate etc.)

Common Interview Mistakes

I entered the interview area at around 5:30 PM. There were five people within the panel (4M, 1F). I wished them. They asked me to sit down. I thanked them when taking my seat. Then one of them asked me that which language I’d prefer to like. I said Hindi.

M 1: Why do you want to join SBI? Give any reasons.

Me: I want to join SBI as a result of SBI is that the largest banking service supplier within the country. It is not only bank however it’s the faith of common people. Anyone feel proud by associating with this brand.

M1: When was Bangladesh formed?

Me: I was really confused at that point between 1965 or 1971… thus I told her the story behind Bangladesh formation and surrender of Pakistani forces on sixteenth dec… and I said that I’m confused between sixty five or seventy one

M 1: Its ok!! It’s 1971

Me: Thanks mam.

M 2: You have studied physics, thus tell me regarding any one of the physics’s law. (Asked in punjabi language as I discussed Punjabi in my BioData form)

Me: I was explained Gauss’ Law in Punjabi. That’s the electrical flux through a closed surface is proportional to the algebraic sum of electric charges contained inside that closed surface; in differential kind div E = rho, where rho is the charge density.

M 3: Why West Bengal is in news these days?

Me: I had read about this (Sharda Chitfund fraud) however not keep in mind at that could point therefore apologized for this.

M 3: what’s the distinction between trail balance & balance sheet?

Me: Trail balance is simply a rough balance created to visualize for any clerical mistake however a record reveals the company`s position in money aspects

Me: SLR is statutory liquidity ratio that’s banks should maintain of their balances as gold or securities.

M 3: Tell me any of your famed quotation.

Me: Told a quotation regarding computers as I discussed computers in my hobby.

At the end they said thank you, you can go now. Therefore I greeted all of them another time and walked out of the interview room. The interview went for regarding 8-10 minutes.

Although I attempted to stay myself calm, I was a little bit nervous at the time of Interview because it was my 1st Interview for any govt. job. I believe this can be a negative issue throughout my whole interview.

Anyways while I was leaving the room, M1 said with a smile on his face, “Well done, Vikas.” I thanked him, wished all of them a decent Day and walked out. I’m still confused what M1 meant by that? Is that sensible issue or is that a regular issue as they already wished me good luck while the interview was over.
