Skill India Mission Launched
Skill India Mission has been Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday in New Delhi on the occasion of the first ever World Youth Skills Day. The mission included the launch of the National Skill Development Mission and introduction of the new National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015. In PM modi’s speech they also discussed about employment for youth.
After the launches of ‘Make in India’ and ‘Digital India successfully,’ The PM Narendra Modi- launches Skill India Mission. The PM Modi said that through a policy determined move toward we have started a war against poverty and have to win this war. The India’s youth are not for begging or asking anything from any other else, they want and have to live with pride ad self-respect. I believe Indian youth has huge talent, they just want opportunities, to show their capability”

Modi said that, it is not necessary that everyone succeeds and goes to top, some can achieve their goals but some get fails. Sometimes poverty is the greatest barrier in the way to success, who fails because of the poverty, this mission is for all of them. We have started a war against the poverty, and we have to won this war by the help and the power of the poor youth. Because the poor’s also want to live with pride so, we want and trying to give them a new confidence by the help of the skill development project.
The Prime Minister said that each poor, underprivileged youth was a soldier in this war. The prime minister said “This mission is not only to skill, we have linked entrepreneurship to it,”. He said that we have proud to see that in the 20th century we saw India’s foremost technical institutes – the make a name of globally. The 21st century required that India’s ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes), acquire global gratitude for creating quality skilled manpower.
He said, India can become the world’s largest supplier of skilled workforce for the world. And to prepare this there is a need for planning of manpower requirements, not just in India as well as globally.
He also called for regular updating of training programmes and syllabi to make sure that the youth are bared to the latest technology and industry environment. Linking the requirement to support apprenticeship and entrepreneurs, the PM said, it was significant to calculate the possibilities of the future and organize for them today itself.
PM Modi launches Skill India Mission against Employment For Youth
The launches of the mission suppose importance as “India currently faces a lack of well-trained, skilled workers. It is expected that only 2.3% of the employees in India has undergone formal skill training as compared to UK which has 68%, 75% in Germany, 52% in USA, 80% in Japan and 96% in South Korea.
Large division of the knowledgeable workforce has little or no job skills, making them basically unemployable. So, India have to concentrate on level up skill training efforts to meet the expectations of employers and make economic growth”, the document on the structure of execution of the National Mission for Skill Development said.
Modi said that, it appears clearly that, in the upcoming centuries, the entire world will need a great workforce from India. After implementation there is more than 54 % of the country’s population that is below the age of 25 allowing it with a chance to offer a skilled workforce to fill the expected shortfall in the ageing developed world. The first priority of India is to create the employment to country’s youth.
The Prime Minister reveals the Skill logo, launched the National Skill Development Mission, and released the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015 and also launched the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana and Skill Loan Scheme. The Prime Minister felicitated the six Indian medal winners of the World Skill Oceania competition was present in the occasion.
