What Is SSC CGL Eligibility:

Nationality:

A candidate must be a –

  • Citizen of India, or
  • Subject of Nepal, or
  • Subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin(PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African Countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zambia, Ethiopia, Zaire, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC CGL Qualification:

SSC CGL AAO Eligibility:

Applicant must have Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Also, candidate who have done Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics will be given preference at the time of interview.

SSC CGL Statistical Investigator Eligibility:

Those who want to apply for this post must possess Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard level or should have done Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

SSC CGL Exam Eligibility for Compiler Post:

For compiler post candidate must holds Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.

SSC CGL Eligibility 2023 for All Other Posts:

As per SSC CGL 2023 Eligibility Criteria, candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent. Question 1: For how many posts a candidate is eligible to apply for the CGL Exam?

Answer: Candidates who want to appear in SSC CGL Exam can apply for more than One Post provided that he or she fulfils the required Combined Graduate level eligibility conditions.

Question 2: Are 12th pass candidates eligible to apply for any post in SSC CGL?

Answer: No, to appear in CGL exam candidates should possess Bachelor’s degree from a Government recognized university.

Question 3: Can candidates with a diploma certificate in any discipline apply for the Combined Graduate Level exam?

Answer: No, Candidates with Diploma Certificates do not fulfill the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria. To be eligible for CGL exam candidates must have a Graduation degree.

Question 4: What is the basic qualification required to be eligible for SSC CGL exam?

Answer: Bachelor’s degree from a Government recognized university or institute.

Question 5: What is the SSC CGL Age limit criterion to apply for the examination?

Answer: Minimum Age to apply for Combined Graduate Level exam is 18 years and maximum age limit is 32 years.

Question 6: Are the candidates who are in the final year of their Graduation eligible to apply for the CGL exam?

Answer: Yes, the aspirants in the final year of graduation can also apply but they have to present their bachelor’s degree at the time of document verification.

Question 7: How many numbers of times a candidate can appear for the CGL exam?

Answer: There is no such limit to the number of attempts for Combined Graduate Level Exam. Candidates can appear for the exam as many numbers of times they want till they fulfill the maximum age limit allowed by the commission.

Question 8: Will the exam be conducted online or offline?

Answer: Written Exam for SSC CGL will be conducted in online mode. Only Tier-III, descriptive paper will be conducted offline – pen and paper mode.

Question 9: Is negative marking applicable in SSC CGL Exam?

Answer: There will be negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In Tier-II, there is negative marking system of 0.25 for each wrong answers in paper II – English Language & Comprehension and 0.50 for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper III and Paper IV of Tier II.
