Scheme of the Examination for Combined Graduate Level Examination:

The Examination will be conducted in three tiers as indicated below:

Tier I  Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier II  Written Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier III  Computer Proficiency Test/ Skill Test (wherever applicable)/Document Verification
  •  Staff Selection Commission reserves the right to make changes in the scheme of examination such as conduct of Tier-I and Tier-II examination in computer based mode, treating Tier-I examination as only qualifying etc.
  • Interview component has been dispensed with. There will, therefore, be no interview.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-I. In
  • Tier-II, there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-II and 0.50 marks in Paper-I and Paper-III for each wrong answer.

SSC Exam Pattern

For Tier-I:

  • In CGL Tier-I exam, the questions will be given in Objective Type Multiple Choice, set in both Hindi and English in respect of Parts A, B and C.
  • This exam will be common for all categories of post.

Important notes:

  • Paper-I & II are necessary for all the categories of posts.
  • Paper-III is only for those applicants who apply for the post of Statistical Investigator Gr. II & Compiler
  • Paper IV is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.

For Tier – III:

Only those applicants who qualify in all the papers as well as in the aggregate would be eligible to be considered for being called for Tier – III as Data Entry Skill Test/Computer Proficiency Test/Document Verification (as per the requirement of position applied for).

Exam Process:

SSC notifies for various entrance exams through News paper like Rozgar Samachar, Rozgar Prakash etc. in the different months at every year whenever jobs are required by the Central government or Departments. First of all Candidates are required to fill up the application form properly.

After filling up these forms they need to submit applications with all the required enclosures and essentials by speed post/ Registered post and through other ways as mentioned. After receiving the applications from SSC issues Admit Card to the students and Process the notifications for exams.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational qualifications for various exams are different.  Candidates of 10th Class are also eligible for some required vacant posts. While for some posts 12th and Graduate candidates are eligible. So it gives opportunities to every talented and eligible candidate from 10th to 12th.

Age Limitation:

Age limit for SSC is as mentioned in the notifications but probably candidates of 18 to 28 yrs of age are mostly required.
