Further Process
WBCS Mains Exam:
Initially Preliminary examination will be organized by West Bengal Public Service Commission. Shortlisted candidates will be called for further process that is mains examination followed by Personality Test. WBCS Mains Exam consists of 6 compulsory papers and 2 optional papers.
All the examination papers whether compulsory or optional will carry 200 marks. WBCS Mains Exam will be of 3 hours duration. WBCS Mains Paper I, Paper II will be a conventional type. Rest of the Compulsory Paper will have MCQ based examination. Paper VII and VIII, these two papers are of the Optional Subjects and shall be a conventional type examination
WBCS Personality Test Details:
- Based on WBCS Result PDF of mains, candidates will be selected for the Personality Test.
- Marks allotted for the Personality test for Group A & B posts is 200 while it is 150 for Group C posts.
- The total marks of Personality Test for Group D posts are 100 marks.
- WBCS Exe Result for final allotment will be declared soon.
- The Commission will declare the result for final allotment based on candidate’s performance in mains exam and personality test.
- WBCS Result 2021 for Final Allotment for Group A and B posts will be calculated out of 1800 marks (1600 marks of mains exam and 200 marks of personality test).
- WBCS will release a merit list of candidates based on the marks in mains exam and personality test.
