Q- How do you qualify for IIST?

Candidates must have cleared 12th or equivalent with minimum of 75% total marks from any recognized Board. Those who belong to reserved category (SC, ST and PD), they must have secured 65% marks (Total) in Class 12^th.

Individuals will be selected on the basis of merit list that will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in JEE (Advanced) 2021 marks.

The 5-year Dual Degree Programme leads to B.Tech. Degree in Engineering Physics and any of the following Post-Graduate degree specializations:

• Master of Science (Solid State Physics)
• Master of Technology (Optical Engineering) (There is no exit option at the end of four years).

Q- Is there any entrance exam for IIST?

The organization provides admission on the basis of marks secured in IIT JEE (Advanced). There is no particular entrance exam for IIST. The students are going to get selected on the basis of JEE ADVANCED scores.
