Preliminary Selection Exam PSB

In PSB two tests are held as following:-

  1. Mental Ability Test
  2. PP & DT Picture Perception and Discussion Test

Final Selection: Final Selection will be based on following tests-

  • Psychologist test,
  • Group Testing and Interview (Personality test)
  • PABT only for GD( Pilots)
  • Medical Exam

Picture Perception and Discussion Test

In this test, a creative picture is shown for about 30 seconds to every contender. Each candidate has to write a story what he had perceived from the picture within 4 minutes. Then a Group discussion is held in which each candidate discusses his story for that picture.

Final Exam Syllabus

Psychologist test, Group Testing and Interview (Personality test):

This test consists of the following tests.

(i) Thematic Apperception Test (TAT): In this test 12 slides counting one blank are shown for 30 seconds. Candidates are asked to write a story around the situation of picture in 4 min. In the blank slide, they have to imagine a picture of their own choice and write a story accordingly.

(ii) Word Association Test (WAT): In this test, a series of 60 words are shown to the candidates one after another for 15 seconds each. The candidate is required to write a sentence or phrase on that word.

(iii) Situation Reaction Test (SRT): In This test 60 situations are given and the candidates are asked to write their reactions by completing the sentences, phrases.

(iv) Self Description: You have to describe yourself within 15 Minutes i.e. within 15 Minutes, participants are required to write five separate paragraphs on each context about the attitude of his parents
