Indian Coast Guard Syllabus 2015

Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union relaes various vacancies time to time. Number of applicants apply against Indian Coast Guard Exam. Applicants who will apply upcoming exams they must know which type of paper will come in examination. Therefore we are providing the  Indian Coast Guard Syllabus 2015.

Selection Procedure: Indian Coast Guard Exam is conducted into following  stages:

  • PSB Preliminary Selection Examination
  • Final Selection
  • PABT for Pilots
  • Medical Examination

Preliminary Selection Exam PSB: In PSB two tests are held as following:-

  • Mental Ability Test
  • PP & DT Picture Perception and Discussion Test

Final Selection: Final Selection will be based on following tests-

•   Psychologist test, Group Testing and Interview (Personality test).

  • PABT only for GD( Pilots)
  • Medical Exam

MAT (Mental Ability Test): MAT exam  consist of questions from General Awareness and Test of Reasoning 

Picture Perception and Discussion Test: In this test, Panel asks to describe a picture. Candidates are ask to see a picture for about 30 seconds and each candidate has to write a story with in about 4 minutes about the picture. Then a Group discussion is held in which each candidate discusses his story for that picture.

Psychologist test, Group Testing and Interview (Personality test):This test consists of the following tests.

(I).Thematic Apperception Test (TAT): In this test candidates have to see 12 slides in 30 seconds. And then they need to write a story on it.

(ii) Word Association Test (WAT). In this test, a series of 60 words are shown to the candidates one after another for 15 seconds each. The candidate is required to write a sentence or phrase on that word.

(iii) Situation Reaction Test (SRT). In This test 60 situations are given and the candidates are asked to write their reactions by completing the sentences, phrases.

(iv) Self Description- You have to describe yourself within 15 Minutes.
