Eligibility to Apply for AMU Admission 2022
Ph.D Course
To apply for admission in Ph.D course, candidates must have Master’s Degree or its equivalent in a relevant field from recognized University with minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent and had also obtained the Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent recognized by the University with minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate or its equivalent.
Candidates who have qualified NET / JRF or GATE test organized by UGC / CSIR / DBT / ICMR / ICAR / IITs or any other test conducted within the last three years by a recognized national funding agency will be excused from the entrance test.
For B.Tech/ B.Arch. Programme:
- Candidates must qualify 12th level/ diploma in engineering or any other equivalent exam from recognized board or university.
- Candidates must qualify the exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English (PCME) subjects and must score minimum 50% marks in qualifying examination.
For B.Com (Hons.) Programme:
Candidates must qualify intermediate or any equivalent exam from recognized board or university and must score minimum 55% marks in the qualifying exam.
For MCA Programme:
Candidates must qualify Bachelor degree in Science or B.Tech/ B.Arch. / B.E or equivalent from recognized board or university and must score atleast 55% marks in qualifying exam.
Examination Scheme for AMU Ph.D Admission
- AMU Written Test is of total 80 Marks
- Duration of written exam is 2 Hrs
- There is no negative marking for Multiple Choice Questions

Offer of AMU Admission UG/PG Admission 2022
Based on merit list prepared on the basis of performance in written test and Presentation–cum-Interview for each area of specialization, candidates shall be selected for admission.
Provisional admission shall be offered to the selected candidates and they shall be asked to join within a period of one month from the date of the offer. Under exceptional circumstances, an additional one-month period may be given by the Vice Chancellor to the selected candidates to join the Ph.D. programme.
However, foreign nationals shall be allowed to complete the admission within a period of six months from the date of the offer made to them, subject to the candidate acquiring a research visa to pursue the Ph.D. programme.

Process to Fill AMU Application Form 2022:
- Go through the official portal of the organization which is www.amucontrollerexams.com
- Hit on “Ph.D/UG/PG” under “Admissions” rolling at the menu bar as well as available at the middle of the home page.
- Hit On “Application Forms”
- Enter asked details for AMU Login while new users need to go for Aligarh Muslim University Admission Registration.
- After the complete of registration process, you must go for filling up AMU Online Application Form.
- Upload documents if required and make the payment of requisite fee.
- Recheck AMU Application Form and hit on “Submit” tab.
- Candidates are suggested to take a print out of AMU Admission Form for future reference.
