What Is Junior Research Fellowship

- BE / B. Tech / B. Pharma / MBBS / Integrated BS-MS / M.Sc. or Equivalent degree / BSc (Hons)
- or equivalent degree holders
- or students enrolled in integrated MS-Ph.D program with at least 55% marks for General & OBC
- (50% for SC/ST candidates, Physically and Visually handicapped candidates)
JRF Exam Eligibility Criteria 2022:
Check Junior Research Fellow Eligibility prior applying. Those who possess bachelor’s degree either engineering, Science or any other discipline, will be eligible for fellowship only after being registered for Ph.D / integrated Ph.D. programm within the validity period of two years.
Age Limit for JRF Jobs:
Those applying against JRF Recruitment Notification must check age norms. The upper age limit for applying for the award of JRF shall be 28 years.
Is there any relaxation for reserved category?
Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes/OBC, Physically Handicapped/Visually Handicapped and female applicants will get relaxation of up to 5 years.

JRF Exam Pattern 2022
Part-A:
Part-A shall be common to all subjects. In this section, questions are from General Science and Research Aptitude.
Part-B:
It comprises subject-related conventional MCQ
Part-C:
It is having higher value questions to test aspirant’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts.
Point to be noted:
There is a provision of Negative marking for wrong answers in JRF Exam 2022.

Stipend for Junior Research Fellow Govt Jobs:
- The stipend payable to individuals recruited for JRF Recruitment through CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) will be Rs 25,000/ p.m for the first two years.
- In addition to this, those selected for Junior Research Fellow Recruitment will also get annual contingent grant of Rs. 20,000/- per fellow.
