Maharashtra TET Exam Pattern
With the help of this examination pattern and MAHA TET exam Syllabus it will become very easy for you all to understand the structure of the examination.
MAHA TET paper 1 Exam Pattern (Class I to V)
- There will be five topics in Paper 1 that are Child Development and Pedagogy, Language – I, Language–II, Mathematics, Environmental Studies
- There will be 150 objective type questions in Paper 1 . Each section will contain 30 questions
- Questions asked in the examination will be of 1 mark each.
- Total time given to complete the question paper will be 90 minutes
- No negative marking will be there.

- Paper 2 will contain Objective type’s questions
- There will be 150 questions in the examination in 5 sections
- 5 sections will consists of Child Development and Pedagogy, Language – I, Language–II, Mathematics and Science(For Maths & Science Teachers), Social Studies/Social Science(For Social & Sciences Teachers)
- Total time given to candidates to complete the examination is 90 minutes
- No negative marking will be there

Child Development and Pedagogy Syllabus

- Influence of Heredity & Environment
- Socialization processes: Social world & children (Teacher, Parents, Peers)

MAHA TET Language I/ II Exam Syllabus
(a) Language Comprehension – Reading unseen passages – two passages one prose or drama and one poem with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar and verbal ability (Prose passage may be literary, scientific, narrative or discursive.
(b) Pedagogy of Language Development –
Topics covered in Maharashtra TET Syllabus are as follows:
- Learning and acquisition
- Principles of language Teaching
- Role of listening and speaking; function of language and how children use it as a tool
- Critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form
- Challenges of teaching language in a diverse classroom; language difficulties, errors and disorders
- Language Skills
- Evaluating language comprehension and proficiency: speaking, listening, reading and writing
- Teaching- learning materials: Textbook, multi-media materials, multilingual resource of the classroom
- Remedial Teaching
(c) Balmanshastra and pedagogy –
Topics covered in Maharashtra TET Syllabus are as follows:
- The questions asked in relation to this subject are related to educational psychology and the study process of 6 to 11 years of age group.
- This will also include questions related to the special needs of children, their qualities, school interaction, good teacher quality.
- It will also include questions based on teaching methodology of different subjects, evaluation methodology.

(d) Mathematics –
The questions related to mathematics will depend on the basic understanding of mathematics, logic, problem solving and pedagogical knowledge of mathematics.
(e) Campus Exercises –
- The topics related to the study area will be based on the basic understanding of history, civics, geography, general science, environment and pedagogical knowledge of this subject.
- According to the prevailing in Maharashtra TET Syllabus of 1st to 5th. However, in the revised primary education course -2012 etc.
- The area study of the subject is integrated into the subject of first language and mathematics in an integrated way.
- The curriculum for the subject of history, civics, geography and general science in the primary education courses of the 5th year 2004 will continue.

Balmanshastra And Pedagogy:
Topics covered in Maharashtra TET Syllabus are as follows:
- The questions asked in relation to this subject are related to academic psychology and the study process of students of 11 to 14 years of age.
- In addition to this, the questions will be based on children with special needs, their qualities, school interaction, and quality teacher qualities.
- It will also include questions based on teaching methodology of different subjects, evaluation methodology.
Mathematics and Science Subject Group:
Topics covered in Maharashtra TET Syllabus are as follows:
- There are 60 marks for Mathematics and Science subjects, out of which 30 marks will be for Mathematics and 30 marks for Science.
- The topics related to these subject areas are related to the basic understanding of science and math, problem solving ability, teaching of mathematics and science, and classical knowledge.
Social Science Subject Group:
Topics covered in Maharashtra TET Syllabus are as follows:
- There will be a total of 60 marks for social science. These questions are about the concept of social science, intentions and pedagogical knowledge.
- Preferred primary education courses etc. Courses related to the subject of the 6th to the 8th course will continue.
- Strength level: – Above all subjects, in class 6th to 8th, on the subject matter of the syllabus, there will be level of competency level of the Higher Secondary School Examination.
