WBPSC Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria –  

Educational Qualification –

• Candidates with medical qualifications included in the First and Second schedules or Part-II of the Third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and registration as medical practitioners in West Bengal are eligible to apply for WBPSC Medical Officer Recruitment 2023.
• Six months’ practical training as House Staff in any Government hospital or other recognized institution
• Ability to read, write and speak in Bengali is and Essential requirement but such knowledge is not mandatory for Candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali, unless specifically mentioned. such ability will be tested at the time of interview. Candidature of the candidates with average / poor performance in the knowledge of Bengali test shall liable to be cancelled.

• Age Limit – (As on 01/01/2023) –

• For Ordinary Medical Graduate Candidates – Maximum 36 years
• For Medical Post Graduate Candidates –  Maximum 40 years.

Age Relaxation – Relaxation in upper age limit will be given to reserved categories candidates only as per government rules.

OBC – 03 Years, SC/ST/PWD – 05 Years

Pay Scale –

Pay Level – 16 of  Rs.56,100/- to Rs.1,44,300/-. AS PER WBS (ROPA) RULES, 2019 plus non practicing allowance @20% on Basic Pay and certain admissible allowances as per rules per Month
