डब्ल्यूएचओ का मतलब विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन है। यह संयुक्त राष्ट्र का एक विशेष संगठन है जिसका उद्देश्य अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सार्वजनिक स्वास्थ्य को बढ़ावा देना है। इसका लक्ष्य दुनिया भर के लोगों के लिए स्वस्थ भविष्य सुनिश्चित करना है। इसके 150 से अधिक देशों में कार्यालय हैं और यह लोगों के स्वास्थ्य को बेहतर बनाने के लिए सरकारों और अन्य भागीदारों के साथ मिलकर काम करता है।

डब्ल्यूएचओ की स्थापना 7 अप्रैल 1948 को हुई थी और इसका मुख्यालय जिनेवा, स्विट्जरलैंड में है। यह संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास समूह का सदस्य भी है। इसका पहला सत्र भारत के स्वास्थ्य मंत्री के कार्यालय में 4-5 अक्टूबर 1948 को आयोजित किया गया था। भारत डब्ल्यूएचओ दक्षिण पूर्व एशिया क्षेत्र का एक सदस्य राज्य भी है। नवंबर 2015 तक, श्री हेंक बेकेडम भारत के लिए डब्ल्यूएचओ के प्रतिनिधि हैं।
