IAS Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must be An Indian citizen.
  • Candidates who are desire to filling IAS Application Form 2017 must hold a degree of any of Universities.
  • Candidates appearing for their final year degree exam are also eligible to apply for IAS 2017.

IAS Selection Process:

Selection of the candidates for the post of Indian Administrative Services will be based on the performance in Preliminary (Objective Type Question Paper) and main exam (Written and interview).

Scheme of CS (Preliminary) Examination:

  • Preliminary Examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple-choice questions) carrying a maximum of 400 marks.
  • Question Papers (Test Booklets) are set in English as well as in Hindi.

How to fill IAS Application Form?

Candidates willing to apply for IAS Preliminary Examination must follow the steps as structured below, to fill IAS Application Form.

  • First of all candidates need to visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission that is upsc.gov.in.
  • Now, hit on “UPSC Online Application” link visible at left side of home page.
  • This will take you to the new page of that website, where you need to select “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC” link.
  • On selection of above said link, a page will appear having link for registration, hit on “part – I registration” and fill required details correctly in IAS Application Form.
  • Then you need to visit again on site and proceed for “part – II registration” and enter all asked entries.
  • You must check again before final submission and then submit it.
  • At last take a print out of filled form for future use.
