केंद्रीय पुलिस बल के कर्मचारियों को सैलरी के अतिरिक्त भी कई अतिरिक्त भत्ता मिलते हैं जो इस प्रकार हैं –

- Leave encashment service to the retired CRPF officers

नियुक्ति के बाद केंद्रीय पुलिस बल के कर्मचारियों की ०२ साल की Probation period होती है।
Primary duties performed by the CRPF are –
- Crowd control
- Counter Militancy / Insurgency operations.
- Riot control
- Dealing with Left Wing Extremism
- Overall coordination of large-scale security arrangement especially with regard to elections in disturbed areas.
- Protection of VIPs and vital installations.
- Checking environmental degradation and protection of local Flora and Fauna
- Fighting aggression during Wartime
- Participating in UN Peace Keeping Mission
- Rescue and Relief operations at the time of Natural Calamities
