How to Calculate GATE Score?

• It is not possible to calculate the GATE score as it is calculated on the relative performance of a student in comparison with students who appeared for the same paper keeping the difficulty levels of the sessions in mind.
• Since the number of students who appeared for the certain GATE paper is not disclosed, it is not possible for students to calculate their scores.
• However, score predictor tools using past year’s trends should help with gauge the scores.

GATE Score 2022

After the evaluation of the answers, the actual marks of the appearing contenders in the examination will be calculated as GATE 2022 Score. For multi-session papers (subjects), raw marks obtained by the candidates in different sessions will be converted to Normalized marks for that particular subject.

Thus, raw marks (for single session papers) or normalized marks (for multi- session papers) will be used for computing the GATE Score based on the qualifying marks. After the declaration of the GATE Score Card 2022, contenders will be able to know about their performance in the exam.

Key Points Regarding GATE 2022 Score Card

• With the help of Scores available in GATE Scorecard candidates can get admission to M.Tech programmes and recruitment to PSUs
• The total marks of GATE 2022 are 100. The actual marks obtained by the candidate in the exam are the raw score.
• The validity of GATE Score Card 2022 is of 03 years from the date of declaration of GATE 2022 result.
• The score card of GATE 2022 is made available for only those candidates who have obtained the category-wise qualifying mark in their respective papers.
• The GATE Score Card 2022 will not available always. Candidates can download their GATE 2022 Score Card only till May 31 afterwards a late fees of Rs. 500 will be applicable.

• Only qualified contenders in GATE will get admission in Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science, in the institutions supported by the MHRD and other Government agencies.
• Further, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.
• Note that the GATE 2022 score is valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of the results.
