Those candidates, who have been selected in written exam, will now appear for Interview round by the SSB of the Ministry of Defence for Admission to Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy for the 149th Course and for the 111th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 2nd January, 2023.
Candidates are also requested to submit original certificates of Age and Educational Qualification to respective Service Selection Boards (SSBs) during the SSB interview.” The candidates must not send the Original Certificates to the Union Public Service Commission.

Stages Of Selection In UPSC NDA/NA:
- UPSC NDA NA Written Exam
- SSB test and SSB Interview
Candidates for Army / Navy of NDA and INAC will undergo assessment for Officers Potentiality. There are 2 stages in SSB (stage I and stage II).
Stage I of SSB: OIR (Officer Intelligence Rating) and PPDT (Picture Perception Description Test).
Stage II of SSB: Interview, group testing officer tasks, psychology tests, conference.
In interview, personalities of candidates are assed by 3 assessors namely
- Interviewing officer (IO)
- Group testing officer (GTO)
- Psychologist
