REET Cancelled (Paper Leak), Level-2 will be held again

Amid accusations of paper leak, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced the cancellation of Level-2 exam of Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers-2021 (REET) in the state cabinet meeting. The chief minister also said that the exam will now be re-conducted for 62,000 posts instead of 32,000 posts.

Initially, an eligibility examination will be organized and then a final examination will be held, said by Ashok Gehlot. REET level-2 exam is conducted for the selection of eligible Indians as teachers to teach students of Classes 6 to 8. Total 38 people have been arrested in the paper leak case by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan police.

REET Eligibility Criteria:

Go through provided REET 2022 Eligibility Criteria before you submit REET application form. Details of eligibility norms are mentioned below. Contenders can go through and ensure that whether they satisfy it or not.

For Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulation, 2002. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Graduation and passed/ appearing in final year of 2 year-Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

For Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/ B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. OR
  • Graduation and passed/ appearing in final of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed. passed/ appearing in final year of 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year B.Ed. passed/ appearing in final year of 2 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Rajasthan REET 2022 Age Limit:

Those who are born between 18 years to 32 years can apply for the Rajasthan REET examination 2022.  Candidates from reserved categories can also apply as they receive age relaxation according to government rules.

Application Fee for REET 2022:

REET 2022 application form will be made available on the official website. The application form can also be filled through eMitra Kiosk by paying an additional amount of Rs. 20/-. The token for submitting the application fee will also be obtained from the eMitra Kiosk for Rs. 10/-. Only after successful submission of application fee, the application form will be considered complete. The structure of application fee is given as:

REET 2022 Exam Pattern:

  • The REET 2022 will be conducted in offline mode.
  • The duration of the exam will be 2:30 hours.
  • All questions will be of multiple-choice type.
  • Except for language subjects, the paper will be in Hindi and English.
  • Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.
