• Nationality

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2022 – Nationality:

Candidates who hold Indian citizenship can only meet the SBI Clerk eligibility criteria with respect to nationality.

• Citizenship of India
• The subject of Nepal and Bhutan
• Tibetan refugees who has come to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in the country
• Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.

Note: Candidates other than permanent citizens of India must get an eligibility certificate approved by the Government of India in their favor.

Education Qualification:

• Applicants should have completed Graduate Degree in relevant field from a recognized university/ institute or equivalent qualification.
• Those contenders who are appearing in the last year of Graduation /Semester are also eligible to apply.
• Reserved category will have relaxation in marks – 55% for OBC and near at 50% for SC/ ST category.
• Candidates must also have good knowledge in computer basics.
• Should be able to write and speak English.
• Knowledge of local language will be an added qualification.

Age Limitation

The age of the applicants should not be less than 20 years and not more than 28 years as on 01.04.2019. Age relaxations will be extended as per government rules.

SBI Clerk Probation Period:

Selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Service Regulations of the Bank in force at the time of joining.

The freshly appointed Junior Associates/ Junior Agricultural Associates will be on trial for a Minimum period of 6 months and 15 prescribed e-lessons will be requisite to be completed by afresh recruited Junior Associates/ Junior Agricultural Associates during the probation.

Further, before the probation period comes to an end, the performance of the newly recruited employees will be appraised and the probation period of those employees whose performance fails to meet Bank’s expectation, may be extended.

Not eligible to apply for SBI Clerk 2022

• Candidates who have already served in the State Bank of India.
• Those who have worked in SBI in the Clerical or Officer cadre can not apply for the exam.
• Tax evaders who do not pay credit/ credit card bills or have a negative CIBIL score, etc.

Interviews

Aspirants who qualify this test will be placed according to their marks in descending order in respective categories. Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates will be call for interview who qualifies by ranking high enough in the merit. Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks (to be decided by the bank) in interview to be considered for final selection. 5% relaxation for SC/ST/ OBC/PWD/XS category will be available thereon.
