AICTE Full Form:- All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a legal body of Government of India with statutory right for the formation and coordinated growth of Technical Education throughout the country. AICTE is accountable for proper design and synchronized development of the technical education and management education system in India. AICTE is the only association that approves an engineering college in India.
It is assisted by 10 Statutory Boards of Studies, namely, UG Studies in Eng. & Tech., PG and Research in Eng. and Tech., Management Studies, Vocational Education, Technical Education, Pharmaceutical Education, Architecture, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Information Technology, Town and Country Planning. Definition Of AICTE:
AICTE Full form is All India Council for Technical Education. AICTE is the legal body and the national-level council for technical education in the country. AICTE was formed in November 1945 with the vision to promote development of the education system in India. AICTE as a body is responsible for accrediting all postgraduate and graduate programs, under specific categories of technology for Indian institutions.

AICTE का इतिहास
अखिल भारतीय तकनीकी शिक्षा परिषद (AICTE) 1945 में भारत में तकनीकी शिक्षा के विकास की योजना और प्रचार के लिए बनाई गई थी । AICTE ने बाद में 1987 के अधिनियम के अनुसार संवैधानिक दर्जा प्राप्त किया। आज के समय में, AICTE का क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय कोलकाता, कानपुर, चेन्नई, बैंगलोर, मुंबई, हैदराबाद, चंडीगढ़, गुवाहाटी, गुड़गांव और भोपाल में स्थित है ।
AICTE भारत में तकनीकी शिक्षा और प्रबंधन शिक्षा प्रणाली के समुचित नियोजन और समन्वित विकास के लिए जिम्मेदार है। एआईसीटीई अपने चार्टर के अनुसार भारतीय संस्थानों में विशिष्ट श्रेणियों के तहत स्नातकोत्तर और स्नातक कार्यक्रमों को मान्यता देता है।
