The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) is a medical degree in India. It is completed in a period of five and a half years after the 12th grade, which includes a one-year internship. A BAMS degree holder can practice anywhere in India. After passing the 12th class, the student is required to clear a state or national level BAMS entrance exam to get admission in the respective medical college.

बीएएमएस का फुल फॉर्म बैचलर ऑफ आयुर्वेदिक मेडिसिन एंड सर्जरी है। BAMS आयुर्वेदिक चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में प्रदान की जाने वाली एक स्नातक उपाधि है। इस कोर्स की अवधि साढ़े पांच साल की है जिसमें साढ़े चार साल का मेडिसिन कोर्स और एक साल का इंटर्नशिप है। मूल रूप से बीएएमएस आधुनिक और आयुर्वेद दोनों के साथ एक एकीकृत पाठ्यक्रम है, लेकिन इसके अधिकांश अनुप्रयोग उपचार के पारंपरिक तरीके पर केंद्रित हैं।

Details About BAMS Course:

In this course, reading of anatomy, physiology, principles of medicine, prevention of diseases and social medicine, pharmacology, toxicology, forensic medicine, ear-nose-throat therapy, eye therapy, principles of surgery, etc will be taught to students along with this, Ayurveda is also taught. Some experts believe that BAMS and MBBS may be integrated in the future.

Admission to BAMS can be granted only after the student has succeeded in its major entrance examinations. In addition to the All India Entrance Exam, many entrance examinations are also held at the state level. The syllabus of this entrance exam is based on XII. Like MBBS, there is stiff competition among students.
