Meaning Of RTI
RTI full form is called “Right to Information”. The RTI is an Act of the Parliament of India that was passed by the Parliament on 15 June 2005 to establish the practical rule of right to information for citizens and came into effect on 12 October 2005.
Every citizen of the country has the right to ask questions and the biggest objective of bringing the RTI law was to give the common people the right to question the government. With the help of this law, any common person can get any kind of information by registering his RTI in any government office.
Right to information is also such a law, under which the democracy of the country is strengthened and the participation of ordinary citizens in administrative work increases. It is a fundamental right under Article 19 (1) of the Constitution.
The RTI Act 2005 applies to all the states and union territories of India except the state of Jammu and Kashmir, as Jammu and Kashmir has a separate Act, the Jammu and Kashmir Right to Information Act.

According to Section 6 of the RTI Act, any person can apply for it. For this, the government has not made any form, just like you write an application to someone; you can answer the question by writing a simple application.
You can give RTI Application in any language like Hindi, English, Urdu, Punjabi or any local language. The most important thing that you have to keep in mind is that at the time of giving the application, you must get the photo copy of the application letter and must take it from the Public Information Officer. If an officer refuses to give you information or tries to hide any kind of fact then you can complain against him.
