TGT Full Form
The Full Name or TGT Full Form is Trained Graduate Teacher. A graduate is said to be TGT, if he/she has completed his training in teaching. If any candidate is graduated and has completed the B.Ed course, then that candidate doesn’t need to take training in teaching, that person is already a TGT.

TGT is a title that is given to the candidate whose has completed his training in teaching after graduation course. If any candidate wants to become a teacher, then they will need to pass the TGT Exam. After clearing the exam, contender will be eligible for the interview round. Selected contenders of interview round will be selected as TGT Teacher in one of the school.

TGT Exam Details:
Many States Secondary Education Service Selection Board conducts TGT recruitment examination for selection of candidates as a Trained Graduate Teacher in inter schools and colleges. It is a state-level exam and for this the board issues official notification to male and female candidates for Trained Graduate Teacher post. Eligible candidates can apply for the exam by filling up the application form.
Education Qualification Required for TGT:
The following qualification is required by a candidate for appearing in the TGT Exam:
- 4 Years Integrated Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with minimum 50% marks in concerned subject. OR
- Graduation Degree in 50% marks minimum in concerned subject and in aggregate.
- B.A/B.Com applicants should have studied History / Political / Science / Economics / Geography / Sociology / Psychology / related subjects for minimum 2 years in the Graduation (3 Years Duration Course). OR
- Graduation degree with 50% marks in the combination of the relevant subject in 3 years degree course will be eligible.

Subject Wise Qualification Required:

|Biology||B.Sc with Botany and Zoology as main subjects|

The minimum age limit required for a candidate to appear in TGT Exam is 21 years. Relaxation will be provided in age limit as per the government rules.

TGT Selection Process:
The selection process for TGT posts is completed in 3 stages:
- Written Examination: Multiple Choice Questions will be asked related to the subject which the candidate has chosen during the time of filling of application form.
- Special Qualification
- Personal Interview Test
Marking Scheme is done in the following manner:
- 85% in the Written Examination
- 10% in the Personal Interview
- 5% for Special Qualification (PHd/ M.Phil- 2%, M.Ed-2%, B.Ed-1%)
