Paper Wise Marking Scheme of NTA JEE Mains Exam Pattern 2025?

Paper	Marking Scheme Pattern
Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech)	The total marks for JEE Main exam Paper 1 are 300. For every correct response, 4 marks are rewarded. For every wrong response, 1 mark is deducted. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. In the Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry section, a maximum of 100 marks are rewarded for all 25 questions. There are a total of 75 questions to be attempted, which equals 75*4 = 300 marks.
Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning)	The total marks for JEE Main exam Paper 2 are 800, which means 400 marks each for B.Arch (2A) and B.Plan (2B). For every correct response, 4 marks are rewarded. For every wrong response, 1 mark is deducted. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
Paper 2A (B.Arch)	In the drawing section, a maximum of 50 marks are awarded for each of the 2 drawing questions- which equals 100 marks. In the Mathematics section, a maximum of 4 marks are awarded for each of the 25 questions to be attempted out of 30 questions – which equals 100 marks. In the Aptitude section, 4 marks are awarded for each of the 50 questions – a maximum of 200 marks.
Paper 2B (B.Plan)	In the planning-based section, 4 marks are awarded for each of the 25 questions – which equals 100 marks. In the Mathematics section, a maximum of 4 marks are rewarded for each of the 25 questions – which equals 100 marks. In the Aptitude section, 4 marks are rewarded for each of the 50 questions- a maximum of 200 marks.

What is the criteria for JEE 2025?

For JEE Main 2025, there's no age limit. Students who completed their 12th exam in 2023, 2024, or will do so in 2025 are eligible. Also, candidates can attempt the exam a maximum of three times in consecutive years, with exams scheduled in January and April.

What is the pattern of the JEE Mains exam?

There are two sections for each subject - MCQs (Section A) and numerical (Section B). In Section A, 20 questions are asked from each of the subjects, and all are compulsory. In Section B, 10 questions are asked from each. Candidates can select and answer any 5 questions as per their choice.
