What is Kerala Post Matric Scholarship?

  • The main purpose of Kerala Education Scholarship Scheme is to give financial support to the meritorious students of economically weaker sections of the minority community in pursuit of higher education.
  • Scheme is given to students for study in India or private schools or institutions / colleges.

What is Kerala Pre Matric Scholarship?

  • Under Kerala University Higher Education Scholarship scheme, fellowship are awarded to students of Kerala studying within the state from class IX – X in Government or schools/ institutes recognized by the appropriate authority of the State are eligible subject to specified criteria.
  • Scheme will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks in the previous final examination (Not applicable for students studying in 1st std)

What is Kerala Scholarship Eligibility?

Kerala Pre Matric Scholarship:

  • Annual income of the students’ Parents/ Guardians from all sources should not exceed Rs.1.0 Lakh.
  • Students of Kerala domicile studying in other states are also eligible to apply in Kerala.
  • Students of other states studying in Kerala are not eligible to apply from Kerala.

Kerala Post Matric Scholarship::

  • Should be the First Year student of Plus Two/ UG/ PG/ Ph.D Course of Higher Secondary School/ College/ Institutes/ University, which is either a Govt/ Aided/Recognised Unaided Institution. OR
  • 11th Class/Technical/ Vocational Course of ITI/ ITC Centres affiliated to NCVT.

Post Matric Scholarship for Minorities

  • I should be a first-year student. PhD course of Plus Two / UG / Postgraduate / Higher Secondary School / College / Institute / University, which is either a government / aided / recognized non-aided institution. Or ii. 11th Class / Technical / Vocational Course of ITI / ITC Center affiliated to NCVT. Or iii. Of course, other than those listed under the merit-cum-means scholarship. See the instructions for information in the names of courses listed under the Merit-less-Means Scholarship.
  • Should belong to a minority community (Muslim / Christian / Buddhist / Sikh / Parsi or Parsi).
  • At least 50% marks or equivalent grade in previous board/university examination should not be secured.
  • The annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs.
  • No other scholarship or stipend should be availed.
  • Scholarship will be given to only two children, not more than two children.
  • The scholarship criterion will be sanctioned as prescribed by the Central Government.

State Merit Scholarship

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate courses should be a first-year student in government / aided colleges or university departments.
  • 50% or above should be scored in the qualifying exam.
  • Family annual income should not exceed 1 lakh. For exemption of annual income on the basis of merit, please see the notice.

District Merit Scholarship

  • The SSLC exam should have scored a plus in March 2018 in all subjects, organized by the Public Examination Board, Kerala State.
  • Must be studied for Higher Secondary / VHSE / ITI / Polytechnic course.

Merit Scholarship for Children of School Teachers

  • Must be a first-year student in Government / Aided Arts and Science College Graduate course of HSC / VHSC and below
  • Sons/daughters of primary/secondary school teachers

Hindi Scholarship

Candidates should have M. Ed / MA / MPhil / PhD as a sub-subject in degree level and as a main subject in bed, all those candidates are eligible for Hindi Scholarship.

Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship

And a first-year student of HSC / VHSC should have a graduate course in Government / Aided Arts and Science College. BPL should belong to family and backward community forward

Sanskrit Scholarship

  • Under Graduate 200 / – PM 55 No Post Graduate 200 / -PM 25 No
  • The first preference for the students is those who are studying Sanskrit as the main subject and the next priority for the students who are studying Sanskrit as one of the subjects in the syllabus.

Suvarna Jayanti Merit Scholarship

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate courses should be a first-year student in government / aided colleges or university departments.
  • Must belong to BPL family.
  • 50% or above should be scored in the qualifying exam.

MGS Renewal

  • Must belong to Muslim, Latin, converted Christian community and should be native to Kerala.
  • Must be a student studying in Govt./ for the first year of Aided Institution for graduation or higher course.
  • Students who got admission in self-financing colleges from seats on the basis of merit are all eligible to apply for this scholarship.
  • 50% or above should be scored in the qualifying exam.
  • Family annual income should not exceed 4.50 lakhs.
  • Those who apply for hostel stipend should be allowed to stay in recognized hostels.

Blind / PH Scholarship

It is necessary to study in government-run institutes such as Blind / PH / Deaf students / Aided Arts and Science Colleges, Music Colleges, and Government / Aided Higher Secondary / Vocational Higher Secondary schools.

  • PMS (Post Metric Scholarship): Total admission fee and Course/

  • DMS (District Merit Scholarship): Rs. 1,250/- per annum
  • HS (Hindi Scholarship): UG- Rs.500/- PM and PG: Rs.1000/- PM
  • MNS (Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship):  Rs. 125/per annum
  • SSE (Sanskrit Scholarship): UG- Rs.200/- PM and PG: Rs.200/- PM
  • MGS (C H Muhammed koya Scholarship): Rs. 10,000/- per annum
