Eligible and Qualified Contenders will have to go through written test and medical fitness.

Medical Fitness:

As far as medical fitness is concerned, candidates should fulfill the following eligibility requirement for the position of sub-inspector:

• Must be physically and mentally fit and they should be free from any physical defects that can interrupt in effective performance of duties
• Must not have squint in eyes, varicose vein, flat foot and knock-knee
• Should have a vision capability of 6/6 in master eye and 6/9 on the other eye without wearing correction glasses
• Must possess high color vision

Written Test:

In general, written test for recruitment of candidates for post of Sub Inspector is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission and the candidates are posted across any location in India. For Sub Inspector Post, a separate examination called as S.I. Police Combined Competitive Examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates.
