CA Course Eligibility

The educational qualifications prescribed by the government for pursuing CA course are as follows:

• You can apply for CPT Entrance exam after passing 10th! And start preparing for CPT exam!
• But you have to give CPT exam only after completing 12th!
• That is, for CPT exam, you have to pass 12th from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science)!
• Got 50% marks in 12th! And if you want to do CA after graduation, for this you have passed graduation from commerce with 60% marks!

Some of the important tasks that a CA performs in a firm are listed below:

• Regular review of financial statements and analysis of risk
• Conducting financial audit to verify the financial position of the firm
• Prepare and maintain accounting statements

CA Entrance Exam

The CA exam is conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. To become a CA, you have to clear three types of examinations, then you can get admission in CA Course, this entrance exam is as follows:

• CPT
• IPCC
• Final Exam

1. CPT (Foundation Course)

Its full name is Common Proficiency Test. This is an Entry Level Exam. Which is the first level exam conducted for admission in CA Course. You can start preparing for CPT after passing 10th, but this exam has to be given after passing 12th!

2. IPCC Exam (Second Level Exam)

The full name of IPCC is Integrated Professional Competency Course. Once you clear the CPT exam, you have to register for IPCC (Integrated Professional Competency Course)! For IPCC exam, the candidate must have cleared the CPT exam along with 12th pass!

But if the candidate has passed commerce in graduation with 50% marks or more then he can directly enroll for IPCC without clearing CPT exam. And after that the candidate has to complete 9 months of article training!

After clearing Group I Exam you can start Apprentice for CA Practicing! This Apprentice is also known as Article Training!

Final Exam For CA Course

After clearing the IPCC All exams, candidates can apply for the final exam, but before that, the candidate has to do Apprentice Training for CA practice for 3 years!
