Atal Bihari Vajpayee Poem in New NCERT Textbooks: As Per Latest News, National Council of Educational Research and Training has introduced a poem by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in a Class 08th textbook after it was suggested by government to explore methods of commemorating his contributions and accomplishments. Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Poem “Kadam Milakar Chalna Hoga” is now part of Hindi textbook, Vasant, which brings essays, poems and short stories. The revised New NCERT will hit the shelves in March before the new session. This is not clear whether any previous content has been removed to accommodate the new poem. |

NCERT Syllabus will Reduce to Half by 2019 Says Javadekar (HRD Minister): According to latest news, Syllabus of NCERT will reduce to half by 2023–24. In order to remove exam pressure and stress on students and free up their time for other curriculum activities other than studies, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said that NCERT Syllabus will be reduced by 15% from 2023 session. On National Council of Educational Research and Training Meeting, HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar has decided to reduce curriculum by 50%. This year, there will be 10-15 % reduction. On the next year, it will be more. Finally, in 2023, the target will be achieved,” said Javadekar. As Per Sources, the reduction in NCERT Syllabus will be applicable from Class I-XII. CBSE will definitely need time to print the new books as the syllabus will be changed and the older data will be replaced with new one. All the states will be assessed on performance indicators based on 70 parameters. |
