IMU CET Counselling

Age Criteria:

In order to appear in the IMU CET counselling procedure candidates must take care that either they are eligible or not:

  • Minimum age of contenders to appear in counseling procedure is 17 years
  • Maximum age to apply for Counseling for IMU CET 2018 is 25 Years
  • Relaxation for Scheduled Castes (SC) & Schedule Tribe candidate’s maximum age relaxation of 5 years will be given.

IMU CET Counselling Registration Process

After declaration of IMU CET Results, the authority of university is going to organize IMU CET Counselling for UG/PG Programmes. The names of the candidates who have been allotted seats through Online Counselling will be notified through the Admission Lists. Candidates can appear in IMU CET Online Counselling by submitting their registration form. Applicants have to through three stages of applying process.

Stage I – Registration for Online CET Counselling:

  • Candidates who had chosen the option “Result Awaited” for their Result Status of 12th Std/ UG Degree at the time of registration for CET will have to enter their marks and upload their Mark Statement.
  • Choose the Programme(s) and the IMU Campus (es) that they would like to join in the order of their preference.
  • To appear in the Indian Maritime University CET counselling procedure candidates need to register themselves first and for that they have to pay an amount of Rs.10, 000/- as the Non-Refundable Counselling Fee. The amount of fees will be paid before choosing the Course and Colleges.

Stage II- Confirmation of Seat Allotted (Applicable for all Admission Lists):

First List

After the completion of IMU CET Counselling procedure the first list of allocated seats will be declared by the authorities. After the declaration of IMU CET allotted seats, the IMU CET Allotment Letters will be issued. The declaration opf Allotment letter will purely be based on the verification of the candidate’s original documents and his medical fitness

Second and Third List

After the declaration of Seat allotment list if still seats get vacant then the second or third list will be issued.

In the Second List, some of the candidates may get upgraded i.e. they may get a Programme or College or both as per their order of preference which they could not get in the First List.

In case the seats remain vacant, then the Second List and Third List will be issued. In the Second List, some of the candidates may get upgraded i.e. they may get a Programme or College or both as per their order of preference which they could not get in the First List.

Stage III- Certificate Verification:

As per the ‘Provisional Seat Confirmation Letter’ received after successful online payment of the Programme Fee of Rs. 25,000/-, the Candidate is  required to report to the Director of the Campus in which the seat is allotted for the following:

(i) Verification of original documents;

(ii) Confirmation of medical fitness and

(iii) Payment of the first Semester Fees and Caution Deposit

Note:If a candidate after completing the formalities, does not report to the IMU Campus on 01-08-2019, will forfeit all the fees paid including the first Semester Fees. He shall not be entitled to any refund of any fees paid, under any circumstances.

Some Important Instructions regarding IMU CET Counselling:

  • There is no other mode other than Online through which candidates can get registered. Hence candidates are required to follow the online procedure.
  • Modification can be done in the online entries but there is one condition that the alteration cannot be done more than two times thereafter before the last date
  • If any candidate leaves the registration IMU CET Counselling process incomplete then the registration will not be considered and it will be rejected.
  • After completion of the registration procedure candidates are required to check their Email Inbox (including Junk/Spam folder) frequently and IMU will not be responsible for any complications arising due to any delay in reading your Emails.
  • After completing the registration, if candidates want to do IMU CET Log in then he can use the IMUCET Application Number and Date of Birth.
  • After completing the Registration, if any candidate wants to do changes in entries he has done then he will have to login again.

Documents Required:

  • Indian Maritime University CET Hall Ticket
  • IMU CET Rank Card
  • Statements of Marks and Provisional Certificate / Original Degree.
  • Physical Fitness Certificate from the Medical Officer, Andhra University or from a Govt. Assistant Civil Surgeon.
  • Transfer and Conduct Certificates from the institution where the candidate last studied.
  • Date of Birth Certificate (S.S.C. or equivalent).
  • Integrated Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC candidates.
  • Four recent passport size photos.
  • Two sets of attested copies of all the above certificates/documents, and additionally 3 copies each of TC, Caste & Income certificates
  • Latest Income Certificate issued by the competent authority (valid for 4 years) or white ration card in case of eligible SC/ST/BC/EBC candidates claiming fee concession.
  • Study Certificates from IX standard onwards issued by the Heads of the respective institutes OR Local Candidate Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
  • Certificate in the prescribed form in respect of claim under special category (NCC, NSS, CAP, SPORTS and PH) where ever applicable.
  • Migration Certificate in the case of candidates from Universities other than the University where the admission is sought.
