NDA Application Form

Essential Eligibility Criteria:

  • The applicant should be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan migrant who came to India before the 01 January, 1962 with the purpose of eternally settling in India.
  • Candidates must be unmarried and only male candidates are eligible to apply for NDA
  • Job searchers have to be physically fit in all respects and any armed force candidate should not be resigned or withdrawn in past.
  • Those who are resigned or withdrawn from any disciplinary grounds are not eligible to apply.
  • If any candidate is having permanent body tattoos will not be accepted only on inner face of forearm tattoos are accepted. Tattoos on the inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/ back (dorsal) side of hand/ Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable.
  • Applying contestants are required to avoid the following minor defects at the time of medical examination like Wax (Ears), Deviated Nasal Septum, Hydrocele/ Phimosis, Overweight/ Underweight, Under Sized Chest, Piles, Tonsillitis, Gynaecomast and Varicocele

Essential Qualification:

For Army Wing of National Defence Academy:  Aspirants should have qualified 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: Applicant should have possessed 12th Class of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Attention Please: Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be born after 2nd July 1998 but not later than 1st July 2001. Relaxation in upper age is available for reserved category as per government rules.

Application Fees Details:

  • General category appliers should have to pay Rs. 100/- as an application fee.
  • SC/ST candidates/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/Ors etc are exempted from application fee.
  • Payment of application fee must be made either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India / State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur / State Bank of Hyderabad / State Bank of Mysore / State Bank of Patiala / State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa / Master Credit / Debit Card.

Height/Weight Standards for Navy

Note-1: ±10% departure from average given weight will be considered normal. Also, applicants heaving heavy bones and broad build and those, who have thin build but otherwise healthy will be provided relaxation by the organization.

Note-2: Relaxation up to 2.5 cm. (5 cm. for Navy) will be granted on height. Relaxation can be provided if medical board certifies that contestants is likely to grow and can come up to standard. There will be some extra physical requirements as a pilot in the Air Force. The acceptable length will be as follows:

Intelligence and Personality Test:

Intelligence and Personality Test contain stage I and stage II. Stage I contains Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception * Description Test (PP&DT). Stage II contains Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference.

UPSC NDA/NA (I) Syllabus:

  • Mathematics contains topics like Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry of two and three dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus and Differential Equations, Vector Algebra etc.

NDA Admit Card 2017:

Union public service commission will issue admit card for NDA (I) exam in the month of March. Admit card will be issued by the organization to only those candidates who will apply for said post before last date. Admit card will contain all information regarding time, venue of the examination. Also, contestants are required to take admit card at the time of examination otherwise no applicant will be allowed to sit in the examination.
