LEET Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates who want to get Lateral entry in B.Tech courses provided by Thapar University they must meet the essential criteria which are given below…

  • 3 years diploma course in relevant discipline after completing matriculation with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade point.


  • 2 years duration diploma, in relevant discipline after 10+2 from Polytechnic College/ Institute affiliated with State Board of Technical Education/University with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade point.


  • B.Sc. (Non Medical) from recognized University with 60% (55% for SC/ST)

Application Fee:

Candidates who are interested to apply for LEET they need to pay (Non-Refundable) application processing fee (Mention in Official Link) for B.Tech programs.

Payment Mode:

  • Appliers have to pay the Application Fee through the Payment Gateway (online mode) or through Demand Draft (offline mode).
  • Those candidates who are going to submit application processing fee through Demand Draft (DD) they have to send their filled Application Form along with DD through proper channel to the address mentioned in official notification

How to apply for Thapar University LEET Exam?

  • Candidates who are meeting all the requirement criteria and willing to apply for LEET they need to go through online registration process.
  • First of all contenders are required to visit official website of Thapar University that is
  • Then contenders are required to hit on ‘Apply Online’ tab that is available on the home page of official website.
  • Now on the next page contenders have to move their pointer on ‘Under Graduate Programs’ link and hit on ‘Eligibility Criteria’ link.
  • After that candidates need to read all instructions carefully by selecting appropriate link of course which you want to apply for.
  • After reading complete instructions carefully contenders are required to hit on ‘Apply Now’ tab to Fill Online Application Form.
  • Then you need to select “Create New Account” tab and fill in the details to create and receive a unique “Username” and “Password” by email for applying to Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology University.
  • Thereafter contenders have to Login with your “Username” and “Password for filling online application form.
  • Aspirants must upload their recent photograph & signature, and then submit the application form.
  • After submitting application form aspirants have to pay application through online/offline mode.
  • Once the application form is being filled completely applicants need to submit their applications and take a printout of it for further use.
  • After filling the online application form, take two printouts of the form one for those applicants who will submit their application fee through DD and the other one for counseling process.

  • Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate showing Date of Birth

  • GATE Score Card for ME/MTech admissions
  • Character Certificate
  • Medical Fitness Certificate as per ANNEXURE-III
  • Reserved Category Certificate on the prescribed proforma (as per ANNEXURE-I or ANNEXURE-II as applicable) and signed from the competent authority (if applicable)
  • Affidavit required in case of discontinuity of studies as per ANNEXURE-IX
  • Affidavit of Anti-Ragging by student (ANNEXURE-XII) and parents (ANNEXURE-XI)
  • Affidavit of Anti-Alcohol/Drug Abuse by student (ANNEXURE-XIV) and parents (ANNEXURE-XIII)
  • Undertaking by candidates not having result of qualifying exam as per prescribed format (ANNEXURE-X) in case of ME/MTech admissions
  • Migration Certificate
  • Income Certificate as per ANNEXURE-VII
  • Experience Certificate & No Objection Certificate from employer (For PhD candidates)
