As per the UPSC Geologist Exam Notification, Combined Geo-Scientist And Geologist Examination-2018 is scheduled to be conducted on 29th & 30th June, 2018 and 1st July, 2018.   • For Geologists & Junior Hydro Geologists Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India:

Job seekers who are going to apply for stated position must hold Master’s degree in Geology or Geological Science or Applied Geology or Mineral Exploration or Geo-Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Geochemistry or Geological Technology or Petroleum Geosciences or Coastal Area Studies or Petroleum Exploration or Geophysical Technology from a recognized university.

  • For Geophysicists Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India:

Candidates must have M.Sc. (Geophysics) or M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics or Integrated M.Sc. (Exploration Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Marine Geophysics) Or M.Sc (Applied Geophysics) or M.Sc. (Tech.) (Applied Geophysics) from a recognized university.

  • For Chemists Grade ‘A’ in Geological Survey of India:

Candidates should possess M. Sc. in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Applied Chemistry from a recognized board with good academic records.

Age Relaxation:

Relaxation to reserved categories will be as per the norms of the organization:

  • SC/ST will get 05 years relaxation in age.
  • OBC will get 03 years relaxation in age.
  • Ex-Servicemen will get 05 years relaxation in age and
  • PWD candidates will get 10 years relaxation in age.
  • Government servants will get 07 years relaxation in age
  • Candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989 will get 05 years relaxation in age

  • Part I will consist of written test having duration of 03 hours for each paper.

Following are the documents required while appearing for personality test/personal interview round:

  • Certificate of Age.
  • Certificate of Educational Qualification.
  • Certificate in support of claim to belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward
